Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
✅ Syrang of Lascars:
- 10th pass from a recognized board
- Syrang Certificate under the Inland Vessels Act, 1917 or Merchant Shipping Act, 1958
- 2 years of experience as a Syrang-in-Charge on a registered vessel of 20 HP
✅ Lascar-I:
- 10th pass from a recognized board
- Must know swimming
- 1 year of experience on a registered vessel
✅ Fireman (Boat Crew):
- 10th pass from a recognized board
- Must know swimming
- Certificate of Pre-Sea Training Course completion
✅ Topass:
- 10th pass from a recognized board
- Must know swimming
Age Limit (as of April 1, 2025):
🔹 18 to 25 years for all posts
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government policy
Salary Details (Pay Scale)
- Syrang of Lascars: Level-4 ₹25,500 – ₹81,100/-
- Lascar-I, Fireman (Boat Crew), Topass: Level-1 ₹18,000 – ₹56,900/-
